Austin Reaves came to terms with the Los Angeles Lakers this week on a new deal that will pay him $56 million over four years.
Heading into this offseason the 25-year-old was seen as one of the most interesting players around, and the only thing that limited him from fully exploring the market was his “restricted” free agent status.
The only team with enough money to sign him to a $100 million deal was the San Antonio Spurs, and they’re too busy building around Victor Wembanyama for that sort of commitment.
This allowed L.A. to swoop in and get their man for a very reasonable price.
Amid Reaves’ new Lakers deal, his girlfriend Jenna Barber recently shared some intimate photos with him on social media.
This isn’t the first time Reaves’ photos with Barber have caused a stir. Some wild pictures featuring the pair went viral last month, too.
Last season, Reaves averaged 13 points per game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field, 39.8 percent from beyond the arc and 86.9 percent from the charity stripe. He then elevated his game even further in the playoffs, often serving as the team’s second or third best player on a nightly basis.
Although the Lakers obviously have a favorable playoff draw to thank for their march to the Western Conference Finals, there is no denying that they were also one of the top regular season teams in the league post-NBA Trade Deadline.

The additions of Rui Hachimura and D’Angelo Russell were obviously huge, but Reaves stepping up the way he did was also crucial to Los Angeles’ late year run.
Next season, all signs point to Reaves getting even more play handling duties as his role within the organization continues to expand.
Will Barber become more of a mainstay at Lakers games next season as Reaves’ star power continues to grow? Time will tell.
