The Atlanta Falcons are firing Dan Quinn.

The move may come before the season ends or Arthur Blank may wait until all the games are played, but either way Quinn is done in Atlanta.

On Thursday night the Falcons fell to the New Orleans Saints 26-18. It was their second consecutive loss and ninth on the year.

There was some hope that Atlanta was turning things around after a two week stretch that saw victories over the Saints and Carolina Panthers, but ultimately nothing ever developed from there.

Quinn’s overall regular season record currently sits at 39-37, and with one of his team’s games this year being a guaranteed loss versus the San Francisco 49ers, there is a chance he will end below .500 when it is all said and done.

With the Falcons now officially out of playoff contention, Quinn’s days are numbered.

Blank gave him the opportunity to right the ship after an injury plagued 2018 campaign, but the team is even worse now than it was then.

The time has come for change – and that change is coming sooner rather than later.
