Atlanta Braves Meet Colorado Rockies For Make-Up Game

The Atlanta Braves meet the Colorado Rockies for a make-up game on Monday, August 26.

These two teams were originally scheduled to face off on April 10 of this year, but the outing was scrapped due to a blizzard. That postponement is why the Braves will now be playing the third game of a series they already won – nearly five months after the fact.

Julio Teheran, who started in the second game of this series back in April, will start once again in this one.

During that April 8 match-up between the Braves and Rockies, Teheran was able to secure the win despite a performance that most would not consider particularly strong. You will recall, he gave up six runs over the course of five innings in that outing.

Notably, that game marked the first time he had ever given up a home run at Coors Field.

So far this year, Teheran is 8-8 with a 3.53 ERA.

Starting for the Rockies will be Tim Melville, who is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA on the year. This game will mark just his second start for Colorado. During his first start, last week against the Arizona Diamondbacks, he secured seven one-run innings and struck out four.

Over the course of his career, Melville has spent time with the Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles.

It remains to be seen if Dansby Swanson will be activated for the first time since July 23.

Since these two squads last played one another, Atlanta has 67-38 and now leads the NL East by six games. Conversely, Colorado has gone 45-58 and now sits last in the NL West.

The game is set to begin at 3:10 eastern time and can be streamed on Youtube.
