Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United Transfer Rumors

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been busy on the transfer front this week.

Although the Premier League season has come and gone, the most notable clubs in England are hard at work. The summer transfer period is in progress, and there are multiple organizations looking to make significant upgrades.

Arsenal Starts Things Off With A Bang

Arsenal started things off with a bang this week after closing a deal for Willian.

There has been a lot of buzz regarding where the 32-year-old would ultimately end up, with Barca making a serious run at him last week. However, when it was all said and done, Mikel Arteta’s group came away with the big prize.

This past Sunday, Willian published a message on social giving his farewell to Chelsea. After starting for the club 29 times over the past season and spending seven years with the organization, the Brazilian will look to make a difference with Arsenal.

Arenal’s other big move was retaining Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 31-year-old is fresh off a two-goal showing in an FA Cup victory over Chelsea. His reward will be a hefty payday.

There was some talk of Aubameyang possibly entertaining the prospect of joining Real Madrid, but it appears he will ultimately simply sign a contract extension with Arsenal instead.

According to multiple reports, the extension will keep the expert striker with his club until 2023.

Arsenal Making Moves Prompts Chelsea To Do The Same

While Arsenal was busy locking up Willian, Chelsea made some big moves of their own.

The club signed Timo Werner this week, and are said to be having conversations regarding a potential Kai Havertz signing.

Presumably Chelsea envisions Havertz stepping in and taking some of the workload that would normally be carried by Christian Pulisic.

Pulisic, 21, is slated to miss the beginning of the looming Premier League season due to his hamstring issue. The young American suffered an injury in the FA Cup Final last weekend. It ultimately resulted in him missing the UEFA Champions League match at Bayern Munich as well.

Manchester United Picks Up Nice Piece

Not to be outdone, Manchester United is making moves as well.

The Red Devils are creeping towards a deal for Jadon Sancho. The 20-year-old forward will likely be linked to a deal that will keep him with Manchester United through the 2024-2025 season.

Originally, there was some talk of the deal getting done before his Dortmund club leaves for Switzerland. However, that no longer appears to be feasible. Instead, the target date has been extended to August 20.

Over the course of the last two years at Dortmund Sancho has recorded 17 goals and 16 assists over 32 outings.

The new Premier League season commences on September 12. It will be interesting to see whose moves ultimately pay off and result in a significant upgrade when all is said and done.
