Amari Cooper Reacts To Cowboys Signing Dez Bryant

Amari Cooper reacted to the Dallas Cowboys potentially signing Dez Bryant during a recent interview this past week.

The 25-year-old seemed genuinely intrigued by the possibility.

Appearing on 105.3 The Fan last week, Cooper discussed a myriad of issues. One of them was Bryant’s potential Cowboys comeback.

“I think it would be great,” he said.

“Obviously, Dez is a great player. When I was in college and even in my first couple of years in the league, he was still considered one of the top-five receivers in the game.

“I don’t think that’s something you just lose, especially with the way Dez’s game is. He’s one of those guys who goes up and attacks the ball. I think he still has that.

Over the past few months, Bryant has been loudly petitioning for a chance to return to the Dallas fold. It has gotten to the point where neither management nor current players can ignore him.

“I think he can come back and be a dominant player, and if given the opportunity he’d be able to do so,” Cooper continued. “Of course, I want to play with him.”

Once upon a time, the Cowboys drafted Bryant in the first round of the NFL Draft and utilized him as the team’s number one option wide receiver for half a decade.

He was ultimately released by the organization back in 2018 and has not played an NFL game since.

Bryant was briefly signed by the New Orleans Saints to play wide receiver two years ago, but he ultimately injured himself two days into the deal and was forced out of action.

Now the outspoken star is salivating at the prospect of making a triumphant return.

“Let me play with Zeke (Ezekiel Elliott), (Tony) Pollard, (Michael) Gallup, (Amari) Cooper, (Randall) Cobb, (Blake) Jarwin,” he said recently.

“Think about it.”

One way or another, Dallas will likely make a final decision on Bryant at some point in the next couple of months.
