49ers Star Mocks New Cleveland Browns Coach

A 49ers star mocked the new Cleveland Browns coach this week.

On Sunday morning, the Browns announced that the organization was hiring Minnesota Vikings coordinator Kevin Stefanski as their new head coach.

The decision reportedly came down to Stefanski and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.

Cleveland went with Stefanski, whose team got absolutely trounced one day earlier by Saleh’s squad.

Niners cornerback Richard Sherman did not take kindly to his coach not getting the nod from Cleveland.

“Wow just wow…… just W….O….W…. guess I should have expected it,” Sherman wrote on social media.

Before the Browns hired Freddie Kitchens during their coaching search last year, the team heavily considered Stefanski. He was reportedly ultimately the runner-up.

This time around, he did enough to secure the job.

According to NFL insider Albert Breer, Saleh also really impressed the Browns during the interview process.

“49ers DC Robert Saleh made a very real impression on the group. I’m told he made the call harder on the Cleveland brass,” Breer said.

Alas, while Saleh made a positive impression on the Browns, obviously it was not enough to ultimately land the coveted role.
