49ers Star Gets Brutally Honest About Jim Harbaugh

A 49ers star got brutally honest about Jim Harbaugh this week.

Cornerback Richard Sherman is no great fan of Michigan’s head coach. He played for Harbaugh at Stanford, but their relationship soured over two particularly notable events.

The first was Harbaugh instructing Sherman to switch from wide receiver to corner, which in retrospect was quite clearly the right move.

The second was Harbaugh accusing Sherman of quitting on his team by undergoing knee surgery in 2008.

“There is nothing to mend,” Sherman told The Mercury News when asked if the relationship between him and Harbaugh could be repaired.

“The bridge was burned down, torn down and built another bridge at another place.

“But the bridge in this particular relationship will never be rebuilt. I don’t think he is interested in it, and I’m not interested in it.”

Sherman and the 49ers will now switch their focus on Super Bowl LIV.

Fresh off a dominant victory over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game, the team will have to do more of the same to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The early odds have Kansas City as a 1.5-point favorite heading into the outing.

It remains to be seen if that will change as we creep close to Feb. 2.
