The San Francisco 49ers’ season came to an unfortunate conclusion in the NFC Championship Game.

It is hard to win in the NFL without a quarterback, and that is precisely what ended up happening when Brock Purdy got hurt against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Left with a hobbled Purdy and neither Jimmy Garoppolo nor Trey Lance, the Niners were forced to take a walloping from Philly.

Now, with the offseason in full swing for them, 49ers players have started going on their vacations.

Among the stars leading the charge in that regard is defensive back Drake Johnson.

After a reasonably successful first year in the pros, he and his girlfriend Bri Kahanu decided to take a little trip.

This week they shared the outtakes from their adventure together.

The pair previously found themselves in the headlines earlier this year when Kahanu opted to take some provocative photos during a game.

Obviously the NFL has some pretty prominent female personalities attached to it. Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt set the internet ablaze with her racy video this week. Before that, Joe Burrow’s girlfriend Olivia Holzmacher shared some intimate photos of her and her beau as well.

Clearly Johnson doesn’t possess that level of star power yet, and by extension Kahanu doesn’t have the reach of those ladies yet either.

That said, Johnson showed some really impressive flashes in his first season. And the 49ers are built to compete for many years to come.

It really wouldn’t be shocking to see both Johnson and Kahanu become more prominent next year as the former takes a more sizeable role in San Francisco’s defensive efforts.

For now, Johnson is understandably focused on relaxing. But hopefully sooner rather than later he gets back to work and comes back in Year 2 as a pillar of the Niners’ defensive efforts in 2023-24.
