49ers Issue Final Super Bowl Injury Report For Tevin Coleman

The 49ers issued a final Super Bowl injury report for Tevin Coleman on Friday.

San Francisco’s star running back dislocated his shoulder in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Niners ultimately won that outing with ease, earning a spot in the Super Bowl on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Unfortunately, Kansas City is a whole different beast.

Whereas the 49ers may not have needed Coleman against Green Bay, the same will not be true this weekend.

As such, San Francisco’s injury update regarding the running back offered very welcome news.

According to head coach Kyle Shanahan, Coleman was recovering well from his injury and practiced in full to end the week.

That means barring some sort of catastrophic development between now and Sunday, he should be able to play.

“He’s worked his tail off to get healthy,” Shanahan said.

“He’s good to go. He’s confident.”

The Niners will go through one final walk-through on Saturday to confirm that everyone is healthy enough to play in the Super Bowl.

From there, it will be full speed ahead to the big game.

Super Bowl LIV will take place in the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, on Sunday February 2.

The game will air on Fox.
